The “Applied Informatics” (dual education) study programme is designed to train highly qualified professionals in applications and information systems development and implementation, the exploitation of innovative technologies, as well as software development, to implement the economic-mathematical models for the efficiency and management of economic processes.
The Applied Informatics (dual education) study programme provides the opportunity to combine the theoretical training, held in ASEM, with the hands-on training (40%) carried out in the national companies. Students will be able to develop their professional skills in various company departments and decide in which field they would like to major in.
The Applied Informatics specialization integrates computer science knowledge (methodologies, technologies, instrumentation, database management systems, computer networks, applications, and computer systems) with advanced knowledge in the field. The Applied Informatics professional acquires thorough knowledge of information modelling of various objects, processes, and activities in the socio-economic field for the efficient computer-aided support of targeted processes and activities.
The programme will develop students’ key-generic competencies as follows: Problem-solving; Initiative; Critical and strategic thinking; Teamwork; Learning; Creativity; Communication in a foreign language; Communicative competence using a foreign language.
