The Social Assistance study programme has as its objective the training of social assistants able to meet the needs in providing specialized social protection services to persons, families, groups, and communities in difficulty, who for reasons of economic, social, biological or psychological nature cannot achieve through their effort a decent life.
At the end of the studies, the graduate will have the ability to diagnose social problems and identify the level of social vulnerability of the social assistance system beneficiary, relate to community members, intervene in risk situations and refer to the competent courts.
The graduates of the programme can be employed as social workers, community social workers (within the city hall), social experts, social assistant supervisors, specialists in social issues, consultants/executors in institutions providing social assistance services, local councillors, consultants in non-governmental organizations, specialists in personal service, specialists in public relations.
Graduates can continue their studies in the second cycle of higher education – the Master’s degree.
Am ales să studiez Asistență Socială la ASEM, deoarece este instituția ce deține o poziție prestigioasă în domeniul învățământului superior economic din Republica Moldova.
