Since the first year, students are encouraged and assisted by both faculty and bona fide business partners to participate in various competitions and contests in programming, web technologies, algorithms, databases, statistics, or mathematics. The students of our faculty have always performed well, winning the first podium places in many of these competitions.
A sizeable proportion of the courses are supported by textbooks authored by faculty members, including “Information Security Fundamentals” (2018), “Computing Systems” (2017); “Optimizing Multi-Optional Decisions” (2016); “Databases” (2016), “Mathematics for Economics and Business” (2016), “Mathematics for Economists. Specifications” (2016), “Operational Research” (2015), “Microsoft SQL Server” (2014), “Internet and Intranet” (2014); “Statistics. Handbook”, “Oracle 11g: SQL, PL/SQL” (2011) etc.
The Faculty of Information Technologies, Statistics and Economic Informatics develops a fruitful partnership with industry organizations such as Endava, Cedacri International, Fiscservinform, StarNet, Simpals, IGP, BNM, BNS, Orange, Moldcell, Oracle, Customs Service, Vitanta, ASITO etc. The cooperation with these companies, as well as with the residential companies of ASEM’s IT4BA Business Incubator, has made it possible for TISE students to be provided with sufficient internship placements since 2017.
